this was the site as a walked up the stairs to make my 'christmas' blended Starbucks coffee earlier this morning.. snow has come and covered the ground with about 15cm in less then 6 hours... fitting, being the 1st of december, my moms birthday (she loves christmas), and the first time i have even seen precipitation since i got here.... so why am i so angry?
CUZ I HATE SNOW!! i cant stand the 'pure' white blanket that covers everything that i once loved so dear.. the brown grass, stringy trees, and the beautiful, beautiful cement... the smell of snow only reminds me of the bitter, arctic air that is so abundantly provided for us manitobans come January... but the thing that i hate more than anything about snow.. is the "CRUNCH" sound it makes when you step on it.... its like nails on a chock board for some, or the sound of a nagging mother to all... there is nothing worse then knowing you have to walk from to front door to your car through snow.. only to be greeted by the need of scrapping your windows and waiting for the leather seat in your car to melt back from its ice sculptured state..
i don't like winter and i don't like christmas! scratch that i like CHRISTmas.. but i don't like the 'happy holidays' that seem to procure for a month before and a month after the actual celebration of the birth of christ...
BAH HUMBUG!!!
